Sheldon Reynolds
Someone once told Sheldon Maurice Reynolds that it wasn't important for members of a band to be a fan of their music, they just needed to do the work. Mr. Reynolds found that to be very short sighted and rejected this as a fan and then member of EWF. His influence in EWF speak directly to the benefit of being a fan of a group he played such an intricate part of. His mentor, Maurice White, said in an interview that Sheldon "always keeps us knowing where home is in our music. Because Sheldon studied EWF's music both as a fan and musician/singer he has a great sense of our best components." Influenced by a wide range of guitar gods beginning with Hendrix and BB King, Sheldon, upon hearing EWF found several heroes to learn from in the band. In Al Mackay he found his rhythm king. In Johnny Graham he heard all the great guitarist of the blues. And in his main hero Maurice White he found his eventual teacher of visionary application. Maurice being the definition of Great Producer taught by example how to inspire great musicians to devote themselves to a united sound. Sheldon now dedicates his creative future to continuing the legacy he spent fourteen years devoted to. He thanks the Great Creator whose eternally devoted spirit inspired the original sounds that we pay tribute to in this group. |

Larry Dunn
In every great musical group there is an individual whose influence on the group's sound acts as a glue that binds its most important components. In this case that influence is like wizardry. His name is Larry Dunn. To the world he is seen as one of EWF's most important members. To members of this group he is simply the wizard. His approach to EWF's music is like a surgeon who knows exactly where to operate. Yet when you add the emotion of love to the keyboard playing style of "The Wizard" , you hear a man who plays like a great singer sings. Many will remember seeing the unforgettable EWF concerts where Larry operated stacks of keyboards like a great scientist. He would often be heard and seen before the shows fine tuning his keyboards, which more than he knew, mesmerized many a musician in the audience. But it is not only his wizardry that makes him so special. His spirit is filled with God's kindness and love, which so exemplified what the fans of EWF interpreted as its real meaning. So from helping to create the songs of EWF to influencing the execution of EWF classics, Larry Dunn has proven to be one of EWF's most devoted members. |

Morris Pleasure
If you have any insecurity about competence on your chosen instrument, do not let this devoted spirit pick it up. For Mr. Morris Pleasure just may show a surprising display of competence on your instrument. Beginning with amazing bass playing this keyboardist, trumpeter, drummer, and "oh yea" he can play guitar too , brought something even more wonderful to his musical directing role in EWF. He exemplifies the meaning of a humble spirit. He could be called one of the most apologetic geniuses around. Morris will play some amazing passage on most any instrument and then say he is sorry if it wasn't better. EWF is fortunate to have been twice blessed with first Larry Dunn and then Morris Pleasure. Morris in his own way brought a true return to that magical sense of keyboard placement and dynamics that greatly helped the band execute its performance at equal professionalism as the original EWF. Morris has worked with so many greats such as George Duke, Boney James, Janet Jackson, Najee, Maze, and countless more jazz greats. Between all these great gigs Morris is even called back home to Connecticut to be featured on piano in classical music recitals. Pleasure's devoted spirit in EWF is unforgettable and now brings so much love to the sound of this project that could not have been made without his vision.
